I have the References as my mains and currently an XXL as the center in my HT setup.
Having read the reviews, couldn't stand it and decided to upgrade to the new center Ref. Will post some thoughts once it's in the house.
I must say the current system sounds great, even for say bluray 5.1 audio like The White Album. Looking forward to hearing if there is yet another level of sound quality I can get from the HT...

Hey, Peter

Have you gotten the new SC Ref yet? Would love to hear your impressions, what it does for your system, what crossover works best for you, etc. I did find that mine continued to improve with break in.

Thanks and happy listening!

Hey Rjohn,
Yes, in da house.
Had it for about a week, so it's about broken in I'd think.
Overall love it. Different from XXL, maybe smaller than I was hoping. Although really XXL is so good... I think a little clearer, more seamless with my Ref mains, louder without increasing its gain, better off-axis which is nice for visitors.
Overall, a winner, but perhaps not worth rushing out if you have the XXL and it's doing the job.

Need to listen to more music / concerts and will report back after that...
