Hi Wayne,

I've always liked Marantz products but I have to agree on your Audyssey assessment. I've tried so many different mic placements as per Audyssey's support but with little to no success. I know the newer versions of Audyssey have improved a lot but I think the way forward will be Dirac Live.

Regards,
Rocco

Yeah, Rocco,
I use the DIRAC full with my Emotiva XMC-1 and am pretty much happy with it. No room correction is perfect I guess, and rooms are not perfect, but it does a LOT better job for me than the Aud.
God Bless,
Wayne

Hi, Rocco

I agree with everyone’s assessment of Audyssey.

I had the same results as you. I don’t think it knows how to handle Triton powered subs either, wants them turned down, not having any way of knowing it’s not a free standing sub and adjusting down also affects 2.0, all full range volume fed to the Tritons.

I gave up, turned it off and did a full factory reset on my Marantz SR 7010.

Better without it. Keep wondering about alternative room correction options.

Happy listening.
